Chapter 8 Marrying Her Brother-in-Law

• Song Shenglan snapped in total disbelief, “Second brother-in-law?”
• “Your elder sister just got a divorce today.” He continued, “Since your brother-in-law is fond of you and now he is single, you both can get married-”
• Song Shenglan interrupted him, “Father, do you have any idea what are you talking about? He is my brother-in-law!”
• “He is no longer your brother-in-law now that they’re divorced.” Said Yu Chengzhi impatiently. “Song Kai’s net worth is worth at least billons now. How many ladies fall head over heels for him yet he delivered betrothal gifts to our house! I want you to come home and head down to the registry of marriage tomorrow!”
• Song Shenglan was horrified beyond words. She took a deep breath and suppressed her anger. “Father, don’t you want to be in-laws with the Gong family? If I was already Gong Minghan’s fiancé, would you still want me to marry brother-in-law?” She said coldly.

• Song Shenglan laughed. With a coy smile she said, “He didn’t drink it but I went according to your plan and Mrs. Gong saw us. She wanted to have a discussion between both families on this matter.”
• Yu Chenzhi face lit up with hope before he questioned, “Then why didn’t you tell me earlier on?”
• Song Shenglan replied in an innocent tone, “Father, you keep on asking about the wine and nothing else.”
• Yu Chengzhi was angered when she said that but immediately he was happy again.
• As he was planning what to do next, his wife, Fang Lingyi, whom he married after his divorce, appeared from behind and said, “Really? Isn’t there an event at the Gong family’s house this Sunday? If Mr. Gong is serious about it, I think he will definitely invite us over.”
• Yu Chengzhi thought about that. He switched his tone, “Chenwei, since you both are getting married soon, you must be his plus one on that day, right? I shall wait for the invitation card from the Gong family!”
