Chapter 46

  • Osborn’s POV
  • I leaned back in the chair, my mouth was dry, and I felt drumming in my temples. I opened my eyes and rubbed my temples to make myself feel better. I looked out the window and saw the first signs of the dawn appear on the horizon. It was getting light. I stayed in the office all night again. I knew what I needed most at the moment was to go home and have a rest. But at the thought of that empty house, I didn't want to go back.
  • No matter how late I used to go home, as long as I saw Tracy, all my tiredness would be swept away. She was my motivation. As long as I saw her, my heart would calm down. But now, Tracy has left. The empty house was no longer a warm home for me. I could no longer find a ray of spiritual tranquility there.
