Chapter 2

  • LAURA POV
  • The sound of me stumbling back caught his attention, and he narrowed in my direction. His gaze was just too hot and intimidating that I nearly fainted from his gaze.
  • "I... I don't know what you mean," I stammered, my mind racing to find an excuse, but the fear paralysing me held my thoughts captive. I tried to escape, but just like the speed of light, I was caged in between him and the wall from behind. His hot breath hit my neck from behind.
  • My heart beat crazily against my chest as I felt him so close, with his manhood directly making contact with my butts.
  • "You don't get to leave so fast Ms.Laura," his thick husky voice made me wet my panties almost instantly.
  • How did he manage to get my name after our first encounter? I had never felt so flushed my entire life as I turned towards him with cheeks as red as tomatoes. He had a silly smirk on his face.
  • "You don't get to leave until we have this conversation," he declared, as he bolted the door of the changing room, and walked towards the table while shamelessly taking off his belt like I wasn't in front of him.
  • If I used to think Mr Finch looked handsome in his office, then I wasn't ready for how dreamy the man looked half naked with his pants dangerously below his waist. Especially his eyes, the man looked almost unreal.
  • "I don't think I have anything to discuss with you, sir," I stuttered as my eyes moved from the stud on his ears to the diamond rings on his fingers.
  • "You just saw me without my mask, I believe that is enough to make it a topic," he stated, and I didn't know what to say.
  • "It is not a surprise that you know who I am. After all, I believe we have met," he said, as he tucked both hands in the pocket of his pants.
  • "I work for you, and I was the one that brought you coffee...." I responded, and he raised his eyebrows. He didn't seem to be intrigued by the information.
  • "Too bad I do not enjoy this boss and employee hangout. This is more of a reason why you're not permitted to leave," he smirked, and I knew he meant what he had just said to me.
  • Why would someone as powerful as you need to strip in a club? It doesn’t add up," I blurted out, regretting the words as soon as they left my mouth. But that didn't sit well with Mr Finch as his intimidating eyes glared at me.
  • "It's not supposed to make sense to you because it's not of your fucking business!" he snapped angrily, making my heart beat crazily.
  • "I saw you," I said, as I smirked, trying to intimidate my boss.
  • "If the media got hold of this, it would be a scandal, wouldn’t it?" I asked, I never knew I would let my mouth do the thinking, the words left my mouth before I could even think about the disaster ahead.
  • I nearly slapped myself when I realised the words that just left my mouth. He seemed dumbfounded for a moment, as he stared at me, jaw dropping.
  • "Blackmail? How predictable," he sneered. "You people always try to claw your way up, don’t you?" and what he said seems to hit me.
  • "Maybe I am," I shot back, my heart beating rapidly.
  • "But why do people like you always assume you’re untouchable?" I questioned, as his eyes roamed all over my body, as it moved over to my boobs which were exposed due to the revealing dress I wore. His gaze is fixed on my body, making me hate the effect he had on my body.
  • "The world revolves around those who take what they want," he said, his smirk growing.
  • "And people like you that are scrambling for scraps will never understand that." he completely.
  • "Excuse me," I muttered, attempting to take control over the situation, though the smirk on his face told me he wasn’t fooled.
  • "What do you want, in exchange? I'll prefer you keep your mouth shut and resign from my company," he declared immediately.
  • "I will not resign," I replied immediately.
  • "Why, if I may ask?" Mr Finch asked, as he narrowed his eyes at me.
  • "If you're planning to syphon more money from me, then you clearly don't know who you're messing with," he uttered.
  • I smiled and said threateningly, “If you are not ready to grant my wish, then I need to expose your little secret,”
  • "Premium Trust is my dream, I have a lot of potential in me and I believe I can achieve that by working in your company, that's one of the reasons I'm working there." I said, in one breath. But he didn't seem impressed by my little speech, as he unbuttoned the first few buttons of his sleeves exposing his gorgeous and spotless skin.
  • "Besides it took me months to finally see something to pay my bills, you can't just ask me to re-sign just like that, it's unfair." I added, as I tried to act like I wasn't tense with the whole situation.
  • "I've never met you in the conference meetings. How am I supposed to believe you have potential? Don't tell me you clean? I'm sure you clean after all you brought me coffee the other time," he uttered mockingly.
  • "I don't clean, I work as an office assistant," I said in my defence, and he chuckled.
  • "An assistant," he repeated after me.
  • "An office assistant," I said in one breath.
  • "I want you to keep your mouth shut," he muttered, and I stared at him calmly.
  • "And for that reason, I want us to make a deal," he added.
  • "A deal?" I asked curiously.
  • "Yes, I want you to be silent about whatever your eyes have seen here tonight. This should only remain here," he uttered in a serious tone
  • "I will keep my eyes on you," he whispered so close to my neck.
  • "Hmmmm," I moaned, as his lips made contact with my neck as his words pierced into me.
  • I hated the fact that I wasn't controlling my emotions around this arrogant man.
  • "I'll send you the address to my place, I want you to meet me there, let's make a deal, Laura," he declared, and moved away from me as he picked his shades.
  • "Make sure you don't keep me waiting," he added, and I watched him make his way out of the changing room with both hands tucked in the pocket of his jeans, he left even before I could say anything else.
  • I slowly walked back to the club too shocked to even say anything.
  • "Where were you babe? I thought something bad happened to you," Kora uttered worriedly, as we made our way out of the club.
  • "Don't tell me you decided to get yourself some good man because you look flushed," she mumbled, and I remembered how his front caused some sweet sensations to my body.
  • "I just want to get some sleep," I muttered, too tired to even stop and think about the day's events.
  • I arrived home quite late, and I went straight to my room. As I lay down to sleep and the memories of the entire night came rushing into my head. What have I gotten myself into??
  • The Next morning, I freshened up and wore a black skirt that hugged me in the right places and a decent dress shirt. Making sure to look very professional, Paired it with nude coloured heels and my glasses.
  • I walked in on Kora making breakfast.
  • "Are you up and ready for work?" she asked, as she served pancakes on my table.
  • "I can't go to work after last night's event, my head bangs with headache," she uttered, and I chuckled as I sat on the chair next to her.
  • "You need to stock up your kitchen girl. I couldn't find anything useful," she said, and I just sighed softly.
  • "I know things are hard, but forget all your debt and try to live healthy." she advised, and I just smiled.
  • After breakfast I got out, and boarded a taxi to premium trust.
  • Immediately I got to my desk, they filled it up with files to work on. I felt the urge to just cry. The day is already killing me, even if it has not gotten anywhere, how am I supposed to come with all of this?
  • I moved to the Cafe, got myself coffee and decided to go ahead with my day.
  • "Laura honey," Ms. Anthony called, as she gave me a warm smile, I knew she was on a mission to send me on an errand.
  • "The boss wants you to get him coffee, just like you did the other day, you can keep the change," she said, as she dropped some notes on the table.
  • My mind went back to our encounter at the club, and my throat immediately went dry. What does he want from me? I thought he wanted me to meet up with him when he sends me an address? Why does he suddenly want it now?
  • Questions filled my mind as I went ahead to get him coffee from the Cafeteria. I made my way towards his floor, as I took a deep breath in and out before knocking on the door.
  • I heard his husky voice "Come in".
  • I opened the door and walked into his office, while refusing to even make eye contact with him.
  • His office gave a mysterious vibe due to its interior, everything about the man was just dark and mysterious.
  • "Are you going to stand there all day or you will serve me my coffee, Ms. Laura?" he asked, and I opened and closed my mouth from the shock.
  • As I made a move to drop the coffee on the desk, only for me to miss a step, making the content in the cup splash on his table ruining most of the files in the process.
  • JEEZ!
