• The walls all had old things hanging on them, too. There were old paintings, old cooking utensils, coffee cans, and other assorted antiques. This place was really something. Also, there was NO phone, and only a single flat-screen TV with a DVD player hooked up. It was one of the selling points of this place that they had no cable, no internet, and cell coverage was VERY spotty, at best. A person really can get away from all the craziness of the city here.
• Our quick inspection complete, we ran to the bedrooms and came up on our first problem. The web site said this lodge had accommodations for two couples, but what we found was partially true. There were two bedrooms, separated by the bathroom in the middle. The larger bedroom, on the right of the bathroom, had a huge California King sized bed against one wall. The other bedroom looked nice too, but was only a Queen sized bed and the room was a bit cramped.
• The second problem we came up with, there was only one bathroom. The silver lining was that it had a huge four person Jacuzzi hot tub, with jets. THAT could come in VERY handy this weekend. I had to chuckle a little to myself at the thoughts of being in between a twin sandwich in that tub.
