• Sky sneered at Rachel's question. “Why did Mama sound like Papa? Do you not like Uncle Edmund too, Mama?"
• "No. It is not like that." Rachel glanced behind briefly. Not finding Lucas, she whispered, "Mama likes him too. He can make you laugh and he is also caring. I am glad you have a friend like him, even though he is a little strange and mysterious.”
• "Well then," Sky sat up, "how about Mama join me to welcome him later? I can choose an easy job for you.”
