Chapter 14
- "She is really beautiful." "She is an exquisite one." "'Just need to make sure no one's guarding her fences." "Everything is settled. You do not have to worry." I instantly shut my eyes open and immediately got up in my bed. I blinked my eyes so many times and checked that it was almost six in the morning. I had done all my routine and dressed up in my usual office suit. I also called the receptionist to have our breakfast in the hotel suite. Sir Sebastian liked to enjoy his breakfast in his room rather than going downstairs to go to the dining hall. My heart almost jumped just by seeing him on his suit and his hair was already on sleek. He was sitting on a buttoned sofa that embodies style. His laptop was on the coffee table as well as his coffee. I smiled a little when I saw him he was wearing the suit I prepared for him last night. Unfair that he looked so goddamn hot right now. I mentally shook my head. Sir Sebastian dropped me a nod and went back to typing something. I blinked and just shrugged my shoulders. I heard a knock on the door and it was on cue that the breakfast is being delivered by the room service. They have prepared some omelets and rice. They also brought some Thai dishes which they called Khao tom as well as dim sum. Sir Sebastian and I were having our breakfast together when suddenly, I remember something. "Have you had a visitor last night?" His blue orbs dashed into me then furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean?" Skeptical, I shook my head. "N-Nothing. I just thought I heard that you looked like you are speaking to someone last night." He sounded like almost Sir Sebastian but I couldn't figure it out because I felt like I was half-sleep. "I just heard some voices talking or maybe it's in my dream," I said defensively when I still got no response from him. He formed a sly smile and arched his eyebrow. "You must be dreaming, Ms. Merryweather. I recalled that after I finished my coffee last night, I already fell asleep." "Oh..." I was rendered speechless and just nodded. Maybe I was just dreaming that he was speaking to someone. That's kind of weird though. That's kind of embarrassing that I got to confirm it to him. Oh shit... I cleared my throat to get his attention. "I'll discuss your appointments today. First is-""If that includes Mr. Cilantro, fucking remove it," he scoffed and started eating unhappily. I ate my inner cheek and slit my eyes. I suddenly remember that this grumpy man hasn't answered my question last night as to why he was avoiding Mr. Cilantro. "Tell me your reason first before I will fucking remove it," I said and copied his tone on the last part. I even challenged him by arching my eyebrow. I am slowly dropping my act because if I don't start intimidating this man, he wouldn't listen to me and keep on lashing on me. His lips formed a smirk. "Someone is getting feisty," he teased. I snorted and rolled my eyes. ""Tell me now, Sebastian." I frowned as I started to get annoyed with this man. For some reason, I think this is my much better rather of enduring being so obedient all the time. I want to cherish what I nurtured for the whole year but it seems freaking useless if this man would like to trigger and cut the silver lining patience that I have with him. "Sebastian," I called on his name again. I don't care if I am not addressing him with 'sir' if this boss of yours became stubborn all the time. Plus, I remembered he already gave me his permission to call him by his name. His lowered lip hung a little as his amusement expression didn't change. He released a soft chuckle and leaned his elbow in the table, forwarding a little like he was going to say a very secretive issue. He beckoned his hand to make me forward a little. I questioned him by looking at him weirdly but still trusted him as I leaned my elbows on the table and leaned forward. His coffee breath mingled with mine that almost made me want to learn more about him. I shook my head mentally. "He'll partner me with his whore daughter." His loud yet soft tone of voice made me close my eyes a little. But then I snapped my eyes open from what he just said. I automatically distanced myself upon realization. "W-What did you just say?" Did I hear it right? "Did you just say w-whore daughter?" I blinked in confusion. Sebastian watched me while I was having a confused expression right now. "You think I'll make a repeat of myself, Cejay?" "You're really annoying." II couldn't help bursting it out. He just smirked as a response and took a sip of his coffee. That made me frown more. He could have just said another so I could lash out at him. But it felt so good that I was back to myself. I was tired of being a different person who lived inside me for the whole working year. It was also frustrating because, at the end of the day, it is where I could manage to burst out my annoyance and irritation at home. Marlou knew that. I remembered sometimes I punched the pillow just to release the stress I was feeling with this boss of mine. I sighed. The whole day was exhausting as hell. Sebastian got loads of meeting with the potential investors as well as those businessmen we need for the upcoming projects that will settle here in Bangkok. Tired, I couldn't help myself yawning the moment my boss and I entered the luxury car he just suddenly bought today. He never liked rented cars so he just spent 1.38 million Thai Baht on Chevrolet Trailblazer. I was the one who closed the deal while shooting him a glare. But what he only did was smirking at my reaction. I couldn't believe this man. I shouldn't be surprised that he did this because this wasn't the very first time he had impulsively bought a car. I should have learned. Good thing, one of his bodyguards drove his car because seriously, there is no way I am going to drive it. II don't think I have the ounce of strength to ever drive after a whole day of being out and dealt with different people. I checked Sir Sebastian on the rear mirror and his eyes were on the outside. I cursed mentally for I found him looked so fresh even after the whole day had passed. That's so unfair... I simply checked myself in the side mirror and I swear, I looked restless right now. I even wanted to sleep for Pete's sake. Before I closed my eyes, I checked my tab if there was still an appointment left for him. I felt relief when there was none. "Where do you want to go to right now, Sir Sebastian?" I asked after I told him that he had no appointments for tonight. "Let's follow your itinerary." I automatically twisted my body to turn at him on the back seat, smiling from ear to ear. "Really? Like right now?" My sleepy, tired cells suddenly buzzed up from this gentle voicing out of following my itinerary. He arched his eyebrow. "Didn't I tell last night that I would like to hear your itinerary like tonight? Since the sun is about to set, why don't you brief me?" he asked as his lips curled into a small smile. I bit my lower lip in excitement. I almost forgot what he said last night but isn't it exciting? He finally agreed to it! Alas! "Since the sun is about to set," I paused and cleared my throat when he shoots me a glare when I copied his tone. I just grinned at his reaction. "Let's have our early dinner at Chao Phraya Princess." "Chao what?" "Chao Phraya Princess! It's a buffet restaurant." I turned at Ricardo, one of the bodyguards and the driver of the Chevrolet Trailblazer. "Well, Ricardo, you know what to do. You'll only listen to me and not that old man at the back." He stiffened a little from what I remarked at Sebastian. He even gave me a horrific expression like he had seen me popping another head. "What?" I frowned a little. "He's not going to fire me," I said with confidence and rolled my eyes. "Listen to her. She will be your boss," said Sebastian from the back.
