Chapter 6 Allison

  • - Allison's POV
  • He's a childhood friend of my father's and the owner of the largest metal factory in Italy, he also imports parts and is a highly respected businessman.
  • "Yes, he was at the company two weeks ago and spent hours talking to Dad," I say, remembering the fact.
  • "He went home yesterday to talk to Dad, it looks like he and Dad are going to become partners." She says and I stop chewing.
  • "What's it like?" I ask in surprise.
  • "Yes, it seems that Mr. Anton has been talking to Dad about this for a while, if they merge the two companies it will be great for both of them... you know that I don't like these business matters very much, not to mention that yesterday when Mr. Anton arrived, we were like crazy calling you and calling the hotels to find out where you were, but from what I understand next week they will already sign the paperwork." Jennifer shrugged.
  • "Holy shit! I'm away for a few days and when I get back something like this happens, I wanted to be there to follow it all, what a crock!" I mutter angrily.
  • "It seems that Mr. Anton's son is arriving in town on Monday, he's separating too, Mr. Anton seemed very nervous, he said he didn't want a divorce and that his daughter-in-law is a great girl, but it seems that his son is unyielding and has already got lawyers to handle the divorce..." Jennifer says and narrows her eyes thoughtfully, then continues. "From what Mr. Anton explained, he did the same as you, out of the blue he asked for a divorce... what a strange thing to happen, could it be some kind of epidemic or virus that's going around?" Jennifer said, her eyes wide and her hand on her chest.
  • "Of course not, Jennifer! He certainly has his reasons for separating, just as I have mine." I say, rolling my eyes.
  • Mr. Anton's son must be another cuckold, or gay, but that's his problem, I already have my problems and I don't need to worry about a stranger's life.
  • "I don't even want to think about these things, I love Enrico and I don't intend to split up if one day he asks me to split up I'll pull his dick out, I won't let anything go missing in the house so he can go and get it..." Jennifer says jealously.
  • "Tell me more about what Mr. Anton said about the company," I ask and Jennifer starts talking.
  • I just hope my father doesn't fire me, this merger is going to be historic and I want to be a part of it, but for now, I don't know what to expect.
  • When we've finished dinner Jennifer leaves and I go back to my room, grab my laptop from my bag, and answer all my emails, then turn on my cell phone delete all my messages, and block Stephan's number, I don't want to have any more ties with him.
  • I didn't go to bed until dawn and I slept watching a trashy movie, I even tried to watch a series I liked or a movie, but everything reminded me of that idiot Stephan and how much of a fool I'd been.
  • I spent the whole of Sunday preparing myself emotionally to face my father, I went to the hairdresser, had my hair moisturized and highlighted, and when I got to the hotel, I painted my fingernails red, I like doing my nails myself and I had to do was buy new nail polish.
  • The weather got very cold and I saw on the weather website that it's going to be like this next week, so, unfortunately, I won't be able to wear the beautiful dresses I bought. In the evening I went to the mall and bought some beautiful blouses and shirts, all in strong colors and prints.
  • Jennifer called me twice during the day and said that Stephan had spent the day at my parents' house, the wretch stayed there making drama, and to make matters worse, Dad and Mom are on his side, in other words, as well as betraying me and doing everything he's done, the bastard still has the nerve to play the victim and turn my family against me.
  • My hatred for Stephan is only growing and I don't even know how I'm going to react when I come face to face with him.
  • ...
  • On Monday I woke up at the crack of dawn, took a long shower and dressed up, wearing a black suit and a red shirt, I left my hair loose, put on a nice lipstick and more make-up than usual, because of the cold I put on an overcoat and after putting everything in the new bag I bought I was ready, I wanted to arrive at the company in a beautiful dress, but unfortunately the cold is too much.
  • I went down to the hotel reception, got a cab and went to the company, do I have a car? Yes, I do, but it's at home and I'm not going back there. If that's the case, I'll buy another car today, thank God I have money in the bank, so I'm going to buy a new car today.
  • The cab drives and soon I arrive at the company, I pay the taxi driver and get out of the car facing the large "Clark Tower" building, I look at it, take a deep breath, and start walking.
  • As I walk, I look up to the top of the building, Dad is on the top floor in the presidency, and at that moment I realize that I'm more nervous about seeing my father than I am about seeing Stephan, I pass the main gate saying good morning to the security guards who look at me strangely, I bet the news of my separation must have already spread, but I just keep walking towards the front of the building.
  • It's a cloudy day and some employees pass me, hurrying towards the side of the building. At the back of the building is one of the largest metallurgy plants in the country, the company's land is huge and it was all designed and architected by Dad, I've been coming here since I was a child and I have memories of when I was a little girl running around the place.
  • I'm walking there with a certain nostalgia, remembering when Jennifer and I were able to start Dad's car and drive it around the company parking lot. This happened about 17 years ago when the work on the site was being finished, the company parking lot was ready and empty, so we came with Dad and Mom to see the work, while my parents were looking at something in the windows of the building, I said to Jennifer, "I know how to drive, I'm just like Mom. ", then she said, "That's a lie Allison, only big people can drive!", I took that as a challenge and the next second I said, "Just turn the key and pull the lever and then step on the pedal! "I'd seen Mom and Dad do it so many times that in my mind it was a simple thing. As I was only 6 years old, my feet couldn't reach the pedals, so Jennifer quickly got on the pedals and I said, "Push that pedal Jennifer! ", she did as I told her and soon I turned the key, pulled the lever and the car was moving, as I was little I was on my knees on the seat and all I remember saying was "See Jennifer, I'm an adult now!", the car moved slowly while I held the steering wheel, just as I was about to shout for Jennifer to press the pedal harder I heard Mum and Dad shouting.
