• Pamela was startled. She didn't know her grandma was already downstairs. Oh gosh! How could she not have known she was there until she startled her.
• "Nothing, grandma" Pamela forced a smile. She lied and Clarion knew it. But there's nothing she could say to prove her wrong. Before she could ask any more questions about her involvement in the rising again of the Hayden's group, Pamela stood up abruptly.
