Chapter 2 Embraced Crying Qin Ziqin into His Hug
- This morning, I was woken up by unbearable pain. Everything from last night was like a nightmare and it rushed into my mind. I couldn't get it off.
- It was my virginity and my wedding night. But I was treated by Ji Yanze like his enemy.
- All my fantasies were broken.
- I went out, standing at the stairway on the second floor. I saw Ji Zeyan sitting in front of the rectangular dining table, eating his breakfast, while reading the newspaper.
- The golden morning sun shined on the side of the man through the window, appearing to be warm and sacred.
- During the last twelve years, I had been loving him in the dark. I could never have dared, however, always wanted to marry him and eat breakfast with him under the same roof.
- As I was staring at Ji Zeyan, the maid saw me and greeted me politely from downstairs.
- My heart quivered a little. Although I was discontented, I dared not to show any doubts regarding my status. I tried to put away and hide my fear from last night, walked downstairs, and sat across from him.
- I lifted my head and found out that Ji Zeyan was like me and barely touched his meal.
- I didn't know whether I did it as an attempt to adjust the mood, or a gesture to improve this marriage that had no certainty, I said in a gentle voice: "I'm sorry for getting up late today. I will get up early to make you breakfast from tomorrow."
- Out of me, if anything could be counted as a specialty, it must be cooking.
- I held hope in my heart, but Ji Zeyan threw away his tableware and stood up, with the same coldness on his face, and said: "Let's move. The car is waiting outside."
- "Where are we going?" I watched the man's frowning face and got panicked for a moment.
- At the moment, he had already walked to the door and begun to change shoes, without a backward glance, he answered: "Return to your mother's home."(It is a tradition to return to the bride's mother's home on the third day of the wedding.)
- I took Ji Zeyan's car and arrived at Qin's mansion.
- Before I walked in, I had thought that the reason why Ji Zeyan treated me in such a horrible way was that he was unsatisfied with the marriage, not because he found out that the bride was me instead of my sister.
- However, as I walked through the door with him, I saw Qin Ziqin, who had been sent to the airport yesterday, was standing beside my parents in the living room. Her eyes were swollen like a peach, and clearly, were the results of a long-lasting cry.
- I peeked at Ji Zeyan. My first reaction was that he found out I replaced my sister for the wedding, and he ordered his men to bring Qin Ziqin back. I got so panicked.
- Though Ji Zeyan might not be able to get anything he wanted in this city, it was more than easy for him to find faults with someone and give him a hard time.
- Involving only myself in this matter is one thing. Now, my parents and sister were also implicated.
- Just as I was blaming myself and entangled with how to explain the whole thing, I saw Ji Zeyan approached forward, embraced Qin Zeqin into his hug, and comforted her, saying: "Are you alright?"
- In his eyes, it was tenderness that I had never seen.
