Chapter 6
- Oliver fumed, his face turning red with rage. "Who are you calling a quack? Do you have any idea who my mentor is?"
- He had just returned from abroad with Dr. Adler, a prestigious award in hand, and this woman dared to question his medical expertise!
- "I couldn't care less," Amelia said, swiftly opening her first aid kit with practiced ease. "Move aside."
- Oliver spluttered, his face turning beet red. "I won't stoop to your level. His lips are turning blue. It's clearly a heart issue."
- "Cardiac ischemia and hypoxia can indeed stimulate respiratory distress, causing blue lips," Amelia said, locking eyes with him. Her tone was stern. "But heatstroke can also cause blue lips. The difference is his pulse is steady and calm. Moreover, his lips are chapped, a clear sign of prolonged exposure to high temperatures. You don't even observe these basic medical signs, and you call yourself a student from The Capital Medical University?"
- "Yeah, observation is important. Even I know that," someone in the crowd chimed in sarcastically.
- The onlookers began to murmur. "This guy from The Capital Medical University isn't all that impressive."
- "The lady seems much more reliable. She looks like she knows what she's doing."
- Oliver couldn't stand it. "Fine, even if it's heatstroke, how can you cure him with just these tools? What's the point of us medical students then?"
- "You only speak for yourself, not for all medical students," Amelia said coldly. "I'll say it again, move aside."
- She couldn't stand two types of people—those who pretended to know more than they did and quacks who got in the way of her saving lives.
- "Fine, I'll move. I'll see just how good you are," Oliver sneered, folding his arms. "If you can really cure him, I'll call you my teacher."
- "I'll wait for that," Amelia said, quickly checking the boy's vital signs.

- She took out a silver needle, disinfected it, and gently inserted it into an acupuncture point on the boy's body.
- The boy immediately winced, struggling as if regaining consciousness. His tiny brows furrowed tightly.
- The crowd gasped. "He's waking up!"
- Oliver was stunned, his face turning pale. "How is this possible..."

- Amelia inserted a second needle, and the boy's eyes fluttered open.
- He had big, round eyes with unusually long eyelashes, and he looked at Amelia quietly, still a bit pale.
- Everyone's eyes widened in disbelief.
- The middle-aged woman asked incredulously, "You just did that, and he's better?"
- Amelia gently wiped the boy's mouth, explaining, "This isn't just a simple treatment. It's acupuncture, and it effectively relieves the symptoms."
- Oliver scoffed, "Didn't you notice? The boy hasn't spoken since he woke up. Maybe your treatment is the problem!"
- "He's awake. What's the issue? Are you just trying to avoid apologizing?" someone in the crowd said.
- "What's it to you?" Oliver snapped at the woman, then suddenly smiled. "I get it. You're all in on it, right? One pretends to faint, and the other pretends to save him. You're all just trying to scam people. I knew you had ulterior motives."
- Amelia's eyes turned cold, and she was about to respond when the boy spoke up, his voice still weak.
- "She was trying to save me. If you don't understand, don't say things you don't know."
- Oliver was left speechless.
- Everyone looked at him with disdain.
- "I won't stoop to your level," Oliver said, his tone dripping with condescension. "You're all just ignorant people."

- With a flick of her wrist, Amelia sent a pen flying past his face, embedding it into the tree trunk beside him.
- Oliver froze, his legs going weak.
- Amelia smiled. "Did you forget something?"
- Oliver tried to hold his ground. "Forget what?"
- "An apology. Calling me 'teacher,'" she said.
- Oliver refused, his arrogance unwavering. "Everyone makes mistakes. I don't have time for this."
- "You're Dr. Adler's student, and you can't even admit when you're wrong? What kind of character is that?" someone in the crowd said.
- "What's wrong with my character?" Oliver retorted, shamelessly. "Who can prove what I said? You people wouldn't be able to afford Dr. Adler's fees in a lifetime!"
- Oliver snorted, acting as if they couldn't do anything to him. In his mind, it was a society governed by law, and he didn't think this woman would dare touch him.
- He didn't notice the sudden change in Amelia's expression as she casually played with a piece of candy, then flicked it with her finger.

- There was a dull thud, and Oliver's knee buckled.
- He fell to the ground with a loud thud.
- "Ah!" The intense pain contorted his face.
- Amelia strolled over to him. "As a medical student, you can't even make a basic diagnosis, yet you jump to conclusions. The medical profession isn't about being superior and looking down on others. It's about using compassion to heal. Your skills are lacking, and your ethics are beyond redemption. Today, I'll teach you a lesson on behalf of your mentor."
- Oliver screamed, "I'm calling the police! I've been assaulted!"
- Amelia slowly smiled. "Who can prove it? You're the one who fell. I didn't touch you."
- "Yeah, he got what he deserved!" the crowd cheered, feeling satisfied.

- Finally, Amelia turned to the boy and asked, "Are you still feeling dizzy?"
- The boy shook his head vigorously, looking up at her with gratitude. "Thank you for saving me. If it weren't for you, I would have been in real danger."
- "What's your name?" Amelia asked, raising an eyebrow. "Where are your parents?"
- "My name is Liam!" the boy said, pointing behind him. "They're all inside there!"
- He was pointing directly at the luxurious Caesar Hotel.
