• “What? No... Wait, you're not well Wayne!” Dolly yelled after him and ran to hold him back. Jake got on his feet and so did the rest of the men. He hurried to Dolly and stopped her from going after their Alpha.
• “Don't worry. We'll go with him. Just stay here with Olive, okay? If we don't get here in time, just call us as soon as the surgery's over. Okay?” he told her in a soothing voice. She looked at Wayne's receding back as he took the turn down the hallway and went out of sight. She gulped nervously. She was too worried about her brother.
