- In the car, I slowly opened Kral's clothes, only to find that all his wounds were simply bandaged to stop the bleeding. He closed his eyes and leaned against the carriage as if he were asleep.
- His silence made the carriage too quiet. The silence makes me uneasy. I tried to rearrange his bleeding wound, but in his coat pocket I found a handkerchief I had given my father long ago.
