• I don’t even feel the cold air blowing on this chilly summer evening, as we are in line to get into the club. My heart is beating so fast that it seems to warm myself with my anxiety painfully. Not even the buzzing streets of the city that never sleeps has me getting distracted from my sorrow.
• My breathing gets labored, and I try to regulate it, fearing I will suffocate soon. Nina and Hissy are standing in line with me and while Hissy is clinging to me, telling me how her week was, Nina is already flirting with a guy waiting in another line.
