- "Insolence! Who dares to act so insolently at my father's birthday celebration?!" Eldridge Morley, Oswald's second son and Raphael's uncle, stood up from his chair and stormed toward the door. He was followed by a dozen bodyguards, who followed him to the entrance, where they saw Matthew and his group.
- "Attack them!" Eldridge commanded, and the dozen or so bodyguards rushed forward, attacking Matthew and his companions.
- Sylvan stepped forward with a look of disdain, moving out of the line and striking with a powerful palm. His immense internal energy roared out, sending the attacking bodyguards flying back.
