• The vineyard was bathed in a warm, golden light as the sun hung low in the sky. With my hands resting on the fence, I stood at the edge of the land and gazed out at the undulating hills in front of me. Even though the vines were still young, they had already begun to take root and were becoming stronger as a result of the loving care we had given them throughout the previous 12 months. However, the whole vineyard and the idea we had started creating together were what had thrived, not simply the grapes.
