• Laura stood in front of everyone as she announced the partnership with TK Company and everyone is dumbfounded and stare at her in disbelieve.
• “What is going on? How did you convince them to give the deal to us?” one of the directors voiced out impatiently
• “Why do you all look sad after hearing such great news? It is good news isn't it?” Laura answered
• “Of course we are very happy, just that we still don’t agree that you should remain in the position of the president, you should give up and let a man handle it”
• “You said that was the only condition? Why are you saying otherwise now that things has changed”
• “This doesn't mean you are capable of running the company, especially if you keep insisting on funding your mother’s dream with the company’s fund” Tony voiced.
• “Lovelies’ family package is a part of the company and it’s not just my mom’s dream” she yells at him
• “Let’s have a vote to decide then, it’s either we keep the dead project or remove it completely”
• “There won’t be any need for that; I called everyone because of two things. First, the contract and secondly to tell you all we will no longer be using the company’s fund for the company” Laura said loud and clear to the dismay of everyone including Clara.
• “And why is that?” someone asked
• “That is all you need to know, lastly, I will be getting married this weekend. Try to come if you are not too busy” she dropped another bombshell and leaves them dumbfounded as she strode out of the room.
• “What do you mean getting married?” Nicolas followed after her and questioned but Laura ignores him
• “Sister, wait a minute” Nicholas called out to her but she continued to ignore him and slam the door in his face
• Clara joins her in the office in a few seconds and stood in front of her also shocked by her announcement and wondered if she is really getting married to Avan.
• “You are getting married” Clara asked reluctantly
• “It turns out that way” Laura answered
• “What about Mr. Avan? Is he aware?’ she questioned further
• “I am sure he is already aware, or maybe he will get to know after the wedding” she shrugged getting a call from one of her uncle but hang up the call
• “Someone will contact you to discuss the wedding preparation, all you have to do is just get the information on venue and time and pick up a wedding dress for me” Laura instructed and Clara’s face turned bitter
• “Make sure to pick a very beautiful and expensive dress” she added before asking her to leave and open her computer to start working but couldn’t for a minute and pondered slowly on her decision…
• After finishing from work very late yesterday, she got a call from Avan and he said he was at her house waiting for her, she hurried home and invite him in
• “You changed your pass code?” Avan said as he sat down and Laura went to get him some water without giving him a reply.
• “Why didn’t you call before coming? When did you get here?” she asked coldly and sat beside him
• “I am sorry about last time” he said instead.
• Laura remained quiet and drank some of the water, she thought to discuss the issue with Chris with him and hear his answer but she still feels angry that he wasn’t there when she needed him the most.
• “I said am sorry and also I heard about the issue at the company”
• “What exactly are you sorry for?” she asked facing him directly
• “For everything, not paying enough attention and getting angry at you. It’s just that have been busy with a lot of things”
• “That you didn’t call? It feels like we are just seeing each other with words” she complained
• “I just told you I was busy and also I warned you not to get Nicholas a job at the company but you insist and now this is happening” he said annoyed
• “Let’s get married” Laura said staring deeply at him and he is fazed by her words
• “What are you saying? Getting married at this time is not a very good decision, you have to think of the company and all" he replied trying to change her mind about the idea.
• He would have accepted if not for the fact that he already promised Clara he won't get married to her and will only trick her into letting go of the company in pretense of helping her.
• Laura watch him fight for words to use in rejecting her for the third time and sighed disappointedly
• She always bring up the issue of marriage to him but he always find one excuse or another to refute it.
• “Let’s break up then” she told him but he quickly refuse her again and saw that she is really determined this time.
• “How about we have a small celebration first then we can register our marriage after everything is settled with the company, I promise to give you the wedding you have always dreamed of by then” he suggested hoping she agrees
• "Let's not meet again" she said and stood up to get the door for him
• She has always thought that when he will someday propose to her and make her feel the love she deserved but suddenly realized that he never wanted to marry her.
• Even though Chris made the offer to get married to her to spite her, she felt her heart skip a bit hearing the word and she sneezed back the tears in her eyes…
• Deciding to leave it behind her, Laura concentrate on her work but starts to get phone calls from everyone from that day and it even got worse the next day.
• Some old family members called to confirm the news and promised to attend while others congratulate her.

• Avan was inside his car about to open the door and enter the house when he saw the news about Laura’s marriage and is shocked, although he never plans to get married to her and is only with her because of his father but he doesn’t want to let her go either
• Seeing that she really went on with her threat of getting married to another man behind him, he became furious and matches inside angrily while dialing her number.
• “Avan” Clara called out to him and he is surprised to see her at his doorstep, he quickly dragged her in before anyone sees them together and locked the door.
• “Have you gone crazy? What are you doing here?” he yelled at her
• “Yes I have gone crazy, only a stupid woman would be sane after hearing that her boyfriend is getting married to another woman” she yelled back
• “What nonsense are you saying? Did she tell you she is getting married to me” he said and walk to the living room with Clara following after him.
• “What do you mean? Who else will she get married to if not you?” Clara questioned confused and thought he is trying to deceive her again
• “I don’t know who she is getting married to either, I have no idea what goes on in that her brain” he let out frustrated
• Clara calmed down when she realized he is not lying and sat down next to him then place her hands on his shoulders.
• “Do you know anyone who she might be getting married to?” he questioned and Clara shakes her head negatively
• Even the person she is to meet to get information concerning the wedding didn’t say a word to her and only send her messages.
• “Are you sure she is not just trying to get you to come to the wedding and force you to marry her?” Clara queried letting her imagination run wild.
• “She is not the type to do that, I am sure there is someone she has been cheating on me with and that’s who she is getting married to” Avan said shamelessly even though he has been cheating on her for so long.
• “Don’t you recall anyone with her that might have seems suspicious? That’s why you are staying by her side”
• “No one” Clara answered trying to recall if she missed any details and remembered that she has been secretive since she made the announcement about her wedding.
• “I will never allow her to go through with the wedding” Avan said to the dismay of Clara who is secretly happy to finally get rid of Laura in their relationship
• “How about you forget about her and just get married to me, I am sure your dad won’t be angry with you for long. Just tell him she cheated on you” she suggested crawling into his arms
• “She is someone who is so gullible that she doesn’t realize I have not been faithful in the relationship for so long, do you think anyone will believe those words?’ he said somehow annoyed that Laura dared to pull a fast one on him
• “I will definitely not allow the wedding to go through even if I have to steal the bride, I am the only man allowed to be with her” he affirmed to himself and pulls Clara closer for a kiss and she reluctantly returned his gestures.
• He removes her clothes aggressively and has sex with her while thinking of Laura.
