- I woke up as soon as my alarm clock started ringing at exactly half past four in the morning. I carefully went out of our tent and I can still smell the burnt out logs from the bonfire last night mixed with the sea-weedy breeze of the sea. I grabbed my cane which was next to me and carefully walked along the beach on my own trying to figure out where I was actually heading to.
- As soon as I felt the sand on my toes, it felt almost close to home. I wanted to wait for the sun to show up and wanted to feel the warmth sunrays hitting on my skin. As I continued to walk, I prayed that I might not stumble upon a jogger or a stray dog. As soon I can hear the sound of the calm waters getting a little clearer and louder, I stopped on my feet and just listened to everything around me.
