Chapter 7
- THE MEETUP 2
- Charles's POV ❤️
- I was totally nervous.
- Why was I nervous?
- Where did all the excitement go? My confidence too, was gone.
- It's way easier when the girl is into you and you don't have to do anything, only to fuck her brain out, but this was totally different.
- This was way different.
- The elevator signalled our arrival at the ground floor and opened. I was too nervous to move.
- She is only a female, so why was I acting this way? I have dealt with so many females that I was starting to get bored of them. I was never really in love with any of them, they wanted one thing from me and that was my money and I got what I wanted too - sex.
- So why was I scared of this one? I knew she was special, she is totally different from the rest, I just knew it. My instincts told me and it was never wrong. I got out of the elevator and ordered Mr.Tusch to stay in.
- Before I got out, I searched for her with my eyes. There she was.
- If she told me to stop my dream project, I was definitely going to do it. I chuckled at myself.
- This girl was driving me crazy.
- Something else caught my eyes. It was that guy I saw her with that day. I didn't even bother to ask Mr. Tusch about him. That same feeling I had that day resurfaced again. I was angry and totally jealous. I couldn't take it anymore.
- I watched them further and they were having a sort of misunderstanding. Were they fighting? Were they about to breakup?
- Gosh! Why was thinking this way?
- I pray they break up though.
- He handed her a t-shirt and they kept on talking, I wish I could read their lips from where I was standing.
- He was getting too close to her and touchy that I couldn't help myself.
- On impulse, I opened the door and I found her holding a microphone. I couldn't stop staring at her. She wasn't even mine, well...not yet. I was definitely going to make her mine.
- Everyone stopped talking and was shocked to see me, including her. Did my presence affect them this much? Or maybe they were looking at something else?
- I turned around and saw about 10 of my bodyguards with me.
- What?
- I have never felt embarrassed about them following me like this before. I knew it was their duty to protect me, but sometimes I'd love to be left alone and now was that time. I needed to be left alone. Wasn't I allowed to breath? I wanted privacy. Well, there goes my first impression.
- Just go with the flow Charles...
- Everyone happened to be staring at me but I had my eyes on one person.
- I just couldn't take my eyes off her, I hoped I didn't come out as intimidating and fearful, that was something I didn't want.
- My bodyguards may have ruined that. I hope she isn't too scared.
- I was finally in front of her and she moved closer to that guy.
- This guy again.
- I had to get rid of him as soon as possible.
- If I wanted to have her all to myself, if I wanted to make her mine, I will have to get rid of him. But how? I couldn't kill him, neither could I kill a person so that was out of the question. I had to get rid of him somehow and fast.
- She leaned closer to him and it made my blood boil. That does it.
- The next thing I said shocked everyone, including myself.
- "How much do you want?"
- What was I saying?
- I was totally jealous. I wanted to apologize immediately as she was looking at me with disgust. This wasn't how I pictured it. Maybe I wanted to prove myself, prove that I was far better than her dirty little poor man. I had more things than he had. I was wealthier, sexier, more handsome, to name a few but I don't mean to brag about me.
- "I don't like to repeat myself. Tell me your price immediately, I've better things to do."
- I didn't know why I was lying, all I wanted was to spend the rest of my life with her.
- Why couldn't I stop saying these things? I didn't mean any of them.
- "You're not going to talk?"
- I just wanted to hear her speak, I wanted to know what her voice sounded like. I am sure it was going to be as pretty as she was.
- "You're really wasting my time."
- What was I saying?
- Even if she didn't hate me before, she was definitely going to now. I needed to stop this.
- "I'll give you an offer. Five million dollars."
- I slapped my self mentally.
- What was I saying?
- There was no way she was ever going to accept my offer.
- "Is she mute?"
- Oh no! I didn't mean that.
- I hated the way she looked at me when I asked her boyfriend that question and it made her face scrunch a bit.
- She was definitely not having this right now.
- "I refuse."
- I got excited when I heard her voice and I was right, her voice did sound sweet.
- It was so soft and comforting even though she was angry at me, and even more, I was happy when she refused my offer.
- She looked fierce now, never taking her eyes off mine.
- She was ready to protect the forest and its inhabitants. I was glad she stood her ground, and wasn't easily swayed by my words and money.
- She really is different.
- "How dumb can one be? I'm offering you an amount you'll never be able to make in your life time and you dare refuse it? Well I don't blame you. I blame your mentality. I couldn't expect anything more from a pauper like you. Poor mentality and poor mindset. I blame myself for coming out here to address you. I should have just called the police..."
- Oh wow... just wow. Way to go Charles...
- Why didn't I stop talking?
- I deserved what happened next.
- She looked at me with pure disgust.
- She definitely hates me.
