Chapter 8 Going Home

• The following afternoon, Leonard called and asked me to come home so we could talk in person. Though I wasn't entirely sure of his intentions, I decided to go back.
• As soon as I stepped through the door, he snatched my bag from me. In front of my eyes, he pulled out my phone and smashed it against the ground, then turned to sneer at me before slapping me across the face.
• “So, you thought you could threaten me?” he taunted. “I'd like to see what you're going to use to do that now.”
