Chapter 20 Humiliation (1)
- After that night, I didn't look at Travis in the same way again. I didn't bother to wait for him any longer, and we merely spoke about the business. This happened about a month ago, and I just let it be how it is. It is no longer appropriate for me to check on him if he arrives home late since I was the first one to leave the workplace when I informed the employees that they may leave. I allowed my emotions to get cold because I needed to be reminded that I was at a significant disadvantage in the situation we were making. My eyes went inside his office, but the door was still locked. All I know is that he is conversing with a woman who is dressed in a business uniform.
- My first action was to swivel my head in his direction as soon as the door opened. He is presently exiting the building with the lady. As everyone giggled, he clung to her around the waist. I just returned my gaze to the computer screen, despite the fact that my mind was already racing to some unknown destination.
