Chapter 8 Don’t Throw A Tantrum
- Lu Yao was surprised to see Shao Yunchen here. She didn’t see him that much in the past, but she saw him a lot over these past few days. When she knew he was the one who sent her to the hospital, it felt like a dream.
- Lu Yao turned her head away without answering his question.
- Shao Yunchen sighed before he pulled a chair to him to sit. “From today onward,” he declared, “you have to stop smoking, do you hear me?” He took off the lid of the bowl of hot porridge.
- Lu Yao sneered. “Hmph! Who do you think you are?” She threw a tantrum.
- “You’re already a grown-up, Lu Yao. Don’t throw a tantrum,” Shao Yunchen said calmly. “I asked them to put some sugar in this. You love it, so have some.” He cooled down the porridge before trying to feed her.
- “Take it away! I don’t want it!” Lu Yao turned her head away, sounding rude.
- Wow, look at how nice he is. He even remembers my favorite food, so why is our marriage a disaster?
- And I am not a child! I’m not throwing a tantrum.
- Noticing the girl’s obstinance, Shao Yunchen frowned before eating the porridge, forcing her to open her mouth by kissing her so he could feed her.
- “Mmph!” Lu Yao thumped on his chest to resist him, while Shao Yunchen leaned against her, clamping her legs shut with his slender pair as he suffocated her with his kiss.
- The bowl of porridge was finished after he fed her this way for a few times. The lady in his arms quieted down, but she was glaring at him, as if he was unforgivable.
- Shao Yunchen pinched her soft, rosy lips.
- Her lips were soft and pink, turning him on once he kissed it, but they were in the hospital now. Even if he wanted to do her, he had to push that urge down, not to mention she wasn’t feeling well.
- Shao Yunchen held her head, looking as if he was hugging her. “Lu Yao,” he said coldly, “if I find you smoking again, I’ll have you know that there’s more than one way to skin a cat.”
- “Sh… shut up!” Lu Yao cowered when she was admonished, turning over and covering herself so she wouldn’t have to meet his gaze.
- He would stay, right? I’m a patient now, after all.
- If he stays here and takes good care of me, I promise I wouldn’t refuse him.
- But that was merely Lu Yao’s fantasy, for she heard the sound of something being cleaned up after a moment of silence. “I need to take care of something,” Shao Yunchen told her. “You have some rest, and I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning if I have time.”
- Dejection made Lu Yao cover herself tighter with the blanket. Work is more important than me to him!
- Realizing Lu Yao had said nothing, Shao Yunchen stood at the door step. “Do you need anything?” he asked.
- “No, I don’t!” Lu Yao knew he was talking about her father’s matter. “I can settle it myself. You may go now.” She was sad and frustrated when Shao Yunchen offered his help.
- What a child… Shao Yunchen sighed quietly.
- He disliked this marriage, but she was still his wife in name. In their three years of marriage, she had always been sweet to him, and she never pestered him about anything, so he couldn’t neglect her.
- After leaving the ward, Shao Yunchen mulled over something before taking out his phone. “Call Mr. Xiang for me,” he told someone on the phone. “Make an appointment with him. I want to go for a visit.”
- When Lu Yao woke up the next morning, she stayed in the hospital until eleven, but Shao Yunchen didn’t show up. He lied to me!
