• We run between the trees led by the vampire, above me at the head, to my right is my brother with Abel and Anisha on his back and to my left Nozomi with Killiam and Lexie who looks stunned.
• "Stop," Cian orders me in a whisper when we're on the edge of the forest.
• In front of us, a huge gray mountain looms, preventing us from continuing. Cian jumps down from my back and makes sure Alice stays on top of me, then turns and walks toward the massive rock mass. Killiam follows close behind, but stops a few paces away and turns abruptly, a howl coming from behind me.
