- “Wait a minute! My marksmanship is poor. On the other hand, Guard is familiar with all sorts of guns. Moreover, he has the sharpest shooter among us. He can hit a bullseye from a hundred meters away!” Henry said while pointing at Guard.
- “Okay then. Guard, take this. Don’t disappoint the trust we all have in you!” Lewis tossed the rifle over to Guard—a middle-aged man with a calm gaze.
- “Yes, sir! I will definitely live up to the expectations Chief and everyone else has for me!” Guard exclaimed emotionally as he accepted the rifle. He had never imagined that Lewis would hand the gun over to him. Previously, when Gavin was still around, he would never have handed the gun over to anybody else, except for Oscar! Yet now, Lewis had handed the gun to Guard so easily. How could he not feel emotional?
