He turned to face Patricia, his expression intense. "Never keep anything from me if it involves my parents, or my friends, and particularly if it involves some kind of threat against them. If they're going to have security on them, I want to know about it. If there's a threat, or if something I'm doing is putting them at risk, then I want to know that too. Are we clear?" Kyle asked, realising he had just channelled Jack Nicholson from the movie 'A Few Good Men'.
She met his gaze. "Of course."
"Just give me things straight from now on, Patricia. You don't need to.... handle me, okay? If I think I'm being manipulated, it'll just make me angry."
