Chapter 20 Things Change Over Time

• Eleanor remained by Mike’s bedside the entire night. During that time, a nurse came in twice to check on him. Each time, his vital signs were stable and normal.
• That was welcome news to Eleanor, who breathed a sigh of relief. However, even though everything seemed fine, Mike never once woke up from his coma. His brows were furrowed tightly like he was having a nightmare.
