Chapter 18
- Chapter 18: Fulfilling His Promise
- Luca storms into his penthouse like a wolf that’s scented blood—no pause, no hesitation, only pure instinct blazing through his veins. The door slams behind him with a deafening boom, the sound ricocheting off the marble walls like a gunshot in a cathedral. His chest heaves with ragged breaths, each inhale hot and laced with fury sharpened by a hunger that’s no longer restrained. The heat rising off him is palpable, radiating in waves from his skin, from his stare, from the tension snarling in every line of his body.
- His steps echo like thunder down the hallway, each footfall a warning—coming, coming, coming. He shrugs off his coat without looking, sending it flying to the floor in a heap of black fabric, and stalks toward the bedroom, eyes locked forward, the storm inside him coalescing into one singular purpose.
