• I feel like I should pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. My parents are leaving, Matt and I will finally be alone, he loves me, wants to marry me, and is finally going to fuck me. I can’t believe that everything I’ve ever wanted is finally happening.
• I give my parents a goodbye hug and reassure them once more that I don’t mind that they’re leaving, and, yes, I very much want to stay and camp a bit longer with Matt. They leave everything we could possibly need, but I really just want to tell them they can go ahead and pack up my tent because there’s no way in hell I’m using it.
