Chapter 8 Hell
- Hailey's POV
- The car kept on moving. I stopped struggling to get out, which I did
- a lot in the start.
- What will I do if I get out? Save Lisa, Sara, and Alex? Well, I know if I get out then they cannot be saved. Don't you think it's worthless?
- I was sitting
- in the backseat and he was sitting in the driver's seat. He was in anger, his grip on the steering wheel was so tight that his knuckles turned white. I closed my eyes and let my tears flow. I didn't know what to do. My mind stops working whenever I'm in such a situation. By such a situation, I mean, that whenever I'm in trouble.
- My thoughts were interrupted. Suddenly a cloth
- covered my mouth. I opened my eyes hurriedly, but I blacked out before I could even see anything.
- I got up. I checked my surroundings. They were beautiful.
- But, wait. This isn't my home? Just then all the memories of my wedding came crushing in my mind. I felt a severe headache. Tears build up in my eyes. But I got up anyway.
- The room was a beautiful one. The bed was king
- -size, the room was painted in red and white. It looked really classy. There was a window somewhat near my height and a door. There was a walk-in-closet, with an attached bathroom and also a balcony.
- I loved it.
- Shut up, Hailey, now you're admiring this rascal's house?
- The one who almost killed your brother?
- The one who ruined your wedding?
- The one who abducted you?
- The one who somehow manipulated Ivan?
- Ivan..
- Tears started flowing again. I didn't know what happened.
- How's my family? How's Alex?
- And Ivan? He did that? I can't believe it! How can Ivan send me somewhere like this? It looked as if... as if he didn't have any problems with this!?
- Suddenly the knob of the door twisted. All my fears were at
- their peak. The same second the door flew open revealing Robert.
- But he was not as I saw him till now.
- He was looking dangerous.
- That dangerous aura of him was killing me.
- "Woke up, huh?" he said and took a step towards me. I went back
- at the same pace. I wanted to speak something, like where's my family, but no words were forming.
- "Answer me when I ask you something
- ," he said in a calm tone looking deep into my eyes.
- This time I really wanted to answer him but no! My vocal box always betrays me!
- "Give the damn answer, Hailey!" he yelled. I took three more steps back. The room was very big, so I haven't hit the wall yet.
- Otherwise, I have seen all those movies.
- Never go near the walls, then!
- "I...
- Y... Yes" I said finally.
- "Good, my dear WIFE
- ," he said. The word wife sounded like the worst thing that ever happened to me.
- Or to be more honest, the worst thing ever happened to anyone.
- I looked at my feet and the tears started dropping on the wooden floor.
- "Don't cry" he said. I snapped at him with my eyes.
- "Don't cry? You did everything to make me cry then why say something like that?!" I
- almost yelled with courage. He's acting as if he doesn't want me to cry.
- "Well, I will spare you this time, but let me tell you about some rules
- ," he said. I looked at him.
- "What's with you and those stupid rules!" I replied
- , more tears threatening to leave my eyes.
- "I'll surely tell you
- Corazon just keep quiet," he said.
- What did he say? Cora- what?
- "Corazon
- ," he said.
- Oh god. He and his mind-reading techniques.
- "Is it a compliment?"
- "Please, please let me visit my family or at least tell me how they are!" I said ignoring his most stupid question.
- "
- Oh, yea sure but first, listen," he said. "Corazon" he added.
- I nodded my head in acceptance.
- "Just some little things :
- 1. Don't mess with me.
- 2. Don't ask
- for reasons for anything I do. 3. Don't ask me anything about why and where or what is
- happening. 4. Follow whatever I say without any questions.
- 5. Don't ever try to escape"
- "What? Are these even rules, I mean you're just maid-zoning me!"
- "That's on you, take whatever name you want, Corazon"
- he smirked at me. “You are my Corazon for me”
- "
- And... Stop calling me that, please!"
- "Why Corazon? I'll call you whatever I want" he said. "You don't have a
- fucking right to tell me that!!" he yelled suddenly.
- What the hell is he? He has a really severe bipolar disease.
- "
- I... I... uh... oh... ok" I said. He smirked.
- "And yes, CORAZON" he emphasi
- zed the word. "Don't you dare stutter from now on" and with that, he left the room.
- I don't wanna say this but,
- Welcome to hell, Hailey.
