Chapter 62 Melanie Held

• Melanie held Storm’s hand as they walked along the stone path leading away from the huge Ranier country home. This was where Dane and Jessica were going to be married. The four of them were going to spend the weekend here to discuss plans for the upcoming wedding. It would also allow Dane and Storm to spend some brotherly time together, and for Melanie and Jessica to catch up.
• Storm and Melanie had arrived a day early so Storm could show her around the impressive vacation home where he’d spent many happy summers. Shortly after they’d arrived and dropped their stuff off in the luxurious private suite in the huge house, Storm had insisted they go out and see the lake. He was like a little boy on his first day of summer vacation.
• “I want to show you my favorite place in the world,” Storm said as they walked toward the glittering lake. “I had some of the best times of my life as a kid when our parents brought us here in the summer. A big reason was because our father joined us only on the weekends.”
