• I left the manor and drove to town, I needed space to clear my head. I didn’t know if I should believe Ann or not, cause the picture looked like something that was taken recently. She had told me she had no one when I asked and now there is a picture of her and a random guy. All of a sudden she now claims it was someone from her past and she thought it wasn’t important to mention it to me. The whole situation was just hard to process.
• I sat in the dimly lit bar, sipping my third whisky of the evening. The bar was full, with low hum talks and glasses clinking in the background, but I was lost in my thoughts, the weight of my suspicion and the sight of that photo driving me to seek consolation in wine.
