• He was advancing slowly toward the forest with his gun pointed at the shadow, when he saw David carrying something and he dropped his hands.
• As they came closer he saw that David was carrying Betty in his arms and she wasn’t well at all. He knew at once that David will be grumpy the whole day.
• He keeps on lying to himself that he never cared about Betty but any slightest danger he would rush to save her. David loved the girl but he didn’t want to admit.
