Chapter 10 The Supreme VIP
- "Sir, based on the phone call we received and the surveillance footage we reviewed, you just assaulted a woman. Please come with us to the security office."
- Stephan smiled. "If you’ve watched the footage, you should know that she hit my daughter first."
- The man waved his hand, and the security guards surrounded Stephan. "Ms. Cathlyn is a diamond card member of our mall. We have the right to protect her reputation and personal safety."
- Suddenly, Lily rushed over, spreading her arms wide and fiercely glaring at the security guards. "Don’t you dare hurt my daddy! I’m a dinosaur!"
- The four security guards couldn’t help but chuckle, but they did stop in their tracks.
- Stephan gently patted her head and casually pulled a card from his pocket. "Don’t worry, sweetie. They can’t hurt me."
- He handed the card to the saleswoman and addressed the middle-aged man.
- "Since when has Pavilion Mall become so snobbish, only judging people by their wealth? Fine, I’ll pay with this card. Open your eyes and take a good look."
- The saleswoman took the card and, after just one glance, gasped audibly and hurriedly inserted it into the machine. In the next moment, when the card information appeared on the screen, she stood frozen in shock.
- "What are you waiting for? Take him away!" Seeing how arrogant Stephan was, the man became furious and pushed the security guards to act. He couldn't care less about Stephan's card.
- At that moment, the saleswoman snapped out of her daze and quickly rushed to his side. "Mr. Anderson, you’d better take a look at this."
- Thomas Anderson was the floor manager for the ground level of Pavilion Mall. Everyone working in the stores knew him. Seeing the saleswoman's nervous expression, he was reluctant but still walked over to the computer.
- "What? Is he also a diamond card member? Even diamond card members can’t cause trouble in the mall."
- He intentionally left himself an out, but deep down, he didn’t believe that a man who looked as poor as Stephan could make a difference. In an instant, however, he leaned forward, his eyes widening as he stared at the screen. A bitter taste filled his throat.
- "He's a Supreme VIP!"
- Only three Supreme VIP cards had ever been issued. In every Pavilion Mall across the country, holders of this card were entitled to select 15 thousand dollars worth of goods for free every month, and purchases beyond that received a 50% discount. It was the ultimate membership of the mall.
- "Daddy, let’s go. Everyone here is bad. I don’t want the dress anymore."
- "Next time, I’ll bring the tank that Evan gave me. It can scare all the bad guys away!"
- The store was eerily quiet, so quiet that one could hear a pin drop. It wasn’t until Lily tugged at Stephan’s hand and spoke that there was any movement at all.
- Her words jolted Thomas back to reality. Sweating profusely, he hurriedly took the card and walked over to Stephan, trembling as he held it out with both hands.
- "Sir…" He felt doomed for offending a client of this level.
- Seeing that the situation had flipped so dramatically, the security guards were completely at a loss.
- "Sweetie, do you like this dress?" Ignoring Thomas completely, Stephan crouched down and lightly tapped Lily's nose.
- "I don’t," though she said that, her eyes told the truth. Clearly, she loved the dress.
- Stephan smiled slightly and reached out his hand. The startled saleswoman jumped into action, quickly wrapping up the dress and handing it over. Only then did he finally look at Thomas.
- "Now, may I leave?"
- "Y-Yes, of course, sir." Thomas’s legs were shaking, and he could barely get the words out.
- Without paying any further attention to them, Stephan took Lily in his arms and left the store. "Izzy, let’s go shopping. Would you prefer clothes or a bag?"
- Isabelle was still in shock. She gave Stephan a complicated look and declined his offer.
- "Let’s go home. Don't waste your hard-earned money. Lily will be starting kindergarten next year, and that will cost money."
- "Alright," said Stephan.
- About 20 minutes after Stephan left, Cathlyn Hart, whose hand had been broken, returned to the security office, accompanied by a group of ten people. Her hand had been bandaged. "Mr. Anderson, where is that guy?"
