• The trip in the car was very short, I didn’t even have time to ponder over what Lucas has in store for me once he comes into the office.
• He promised that no one will harm me, but he didn’t include himself in that promise. Whether I was reading too much into his words or he really meant to exclude himself was unknown to me. All I know is, I want to get away from him as soon as possible, if that was even possible anymore.
