Chapter 7

  • As the wedding festivities drew to a close, Lisa found herself walking through the moonlit paths toward the Alpha's house—a place that would become her new home. Thoughts whirled in her mind, a mix of excitement, anticipation, and a touch of apprehension. She had married Alpha Xander, the man chosen for her, but she couldn't deny the absence she felt as he had not joined her for their wedding night.
  • Entering the Alpha's house, Lisa was greeted by the calmness of the surroundings. The air was tinged with a hint of lavender, providing a soothing atmosphere that eased her weary soul. She wandered through the elegantly furnished rooms, her steps guided by the soft glow of candlelight.
  • Finding herself in the bedroom, Lisa stood by the window, staring out at the night sky. She felt a sense of loneliness settle over her, the weight of her decision bearing down on her shoulders. She yearned for the companionship of Alpha Xander, but she understood the complexities of their situation.
  • With a sigh, Lisa began preparing for bed. She changed into a silk nightgown, its smooth fabric caressing her skin. Slipping beneath the covers, she nestled into the softness of the pillows, the warmth of the room enveloping her.
  • As she lay there in the stillness, her mind wandered back to her dreams—the dreams of "Sip and Read," her beloved café and bookstore. She had always imagined sharing her passion for literature and creating a haven for people to gather, sip their favorite beverages, and lose themselves in the pages of books. It was a dream she held close to her heart, a dream that now felt both distant and uncertain.
  • Though the weight of her responsibilities weighed heavily upon her, Lisa refused to let her dreams falter. She closed her eyes, envisioning the cozy atmosphere, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and the sound of pages being turned. In her mind, she mapped out the layout of the café, picturing shelves filled with books, and customers finding solace in the stories within their pages.
  • As sleep began to claim her, Lisa made a silent vow to herself. She would not let her dreams wither away. While she recognized the importance of her role as Alpha Xander's Luna and the obligations that came with it, she also understood the value of nurturing her own aspirations. She would find a way to bring "Sip and Read" to life, even if it meant making compromises and sacrifices.
  • In the depths of the night, Lisa drifted into a peaceful slumber, her dreams intertwining with the visions of her café and bookstore. As she slept, she felt a glimmer of hope—hope that she could balance her duty to her pack with her pursuit of her passion.
  • ******
  • The sound of a ringing alarm from a cell phone woke Lisa up. It’s already seven in the morning. She immediately did her morning routine.
  • While enjoying the fresh warm water splashed on her body, her cell phone rang, and she left the bathroom immediately to pick up the call, which turned out to be from Mercy. Her assistant told her the meeting with one of the investors was rescheduled.
  • “Okay, then tomorrow at eight am, okay! Thank you,” Lisa said while marking the date and time on the agenda.
  • She had just hung the call up when suddenly a scream came from the door.
  • “Aaaaaaarrrgh...!” a dark brown-haired man shouted in shock. Moments later, he awkwardly closed his emerald eyes and turned his back. That’s when Lisa realized why he was screaming. She was standing completely naked beside the bed.
  • “Ow, ow! Sorry.”
  • ***
  • “Do you have no shame? How could you do something like that in front of a stranger?” Alpha Xander, Lisa’s husband, scolded her. His face was as red as tomatoes. Either out of shame or anger. He looked at anything but his wife, despite her beautiful body being neatly wrapped in a hotel white bathrobe.
  • “Sorry, I thought there was no one in this room. And ... you’re my husband, not a stranger,” Lisa said in a flat tone while drying her hair with a dry towel. “Also, if you were really embarrassed or even angry with me, you should have just shut your eyes instead of staring at my beautiful body for a few minutes,” she added casually with a smirk plastered on her face.
  • Alpha Xander’s eyes that had been away from his wife now turned to her again, trying to defend himself. His mouth opened to say something, but he didn’t manage to do that.
  • Feeling guilty about her husband’s adorable response, Lisa tried to soothe his feelings, “Don’t be shy. It’s natural to like a beautiful and sexy naked woman-”
  • “Enough!” Alpha Xander snapped, cutting her words. By now, his face was completely red. She knew that her husband was upset.
  • Being aware of the unfriendly situation, she was kind enough to get him a bottle of mineral water from the minibar and handed it to him. He gladly took it and immediately drank half the bottle. After that, she asked him a not-so-important question, “Why did you come back? I thought you would leave for good.”
  • At first, Lisa wanted to ask where her husband was last night, but she didn’t because she was sure he would never answer honestly. If it wasn’t a secret, he would say a word, no? “Did you leave something behind?”
  • Alpha Xander shook his head, “I just wanted to pick you up. We’re going home today. Pack your stuff up asap.”
  • “We are not staying here?.” Lisa asked, confused.
  • “Nope! This is the Pack house. I have my own place.”
  • That’s how it was. Today, Lisa went home to Alpha Xander’s ... her husband’s, not to her father’s anymore. She was Lisa Morningstar ... no longer Lisa Anderson. Not just Lisa Morningstar but Luna.
  • ‘Well, anywhere is fine. As long as I can work well,’ she muttered to herself. After all, she was aware that a wife should live under one roof with her husband, immediately after the marriage ceremony.
  • While driving towards the house, Lisa studied her husband’s face in silence. She wanted to tease him because she knew that he also stole glances several times. When their eyes accidentally met, that’s when his face turned completely red.
  • Lisa chuckled, then asked, “Mr. Morningstar, are you a virgin?
