- She’d followed him in here. He cussed himself inwardly for forgetting to lock the door. Why had she come here? He didn’t need her to be here now, he needed to be alone. He needed some space in his mind to process all that had happened today, and he certainly was not in the mood to see her.
- She came closer, reaching where he sat, “Damian?” She called him again but was met with silence.
