Chapter 53

• I take in the room around me; the stark white medical room of our home, a medical tray with an empty but bloody syringe resting in a cardboard bowl. I am laying on one of the hospital beds, uncomfortable and cold.
• I look up to see six sets of eyes staring with worry and concern, straight at me; silence fills the room now that I have ceased my painful scream.
• Mum, Dad, Dean, Declan, Christian- the pack doctor and… Bethany!
