Chapter 26
- ‘People around me think that I’ve gone crazy because I keep talking to myself. But little did they know that I talk with you, my pup.’ Theodore recalled his mother’s voice which he used to keep listening to when he was growing inside her. ‘My mother used to say that pups start learning things from their mother’s womb. That’s why a positive environment is created around a pregnant woman. I don’t know whether that is true or not, but I won’t know until I try. I don’t know what your future holds for you but remember that I want you to be kind and compassionate. You’re my pup. That’s why you have to be like me, not a cruel creature like your father.’
- ‘I don’t know how others will treat you your whole life, pup. But remember that you’re a miracle and a blessing that doesn’t happen on a daily basis. Not a result of some nasty, okay?’
- ‘You will be different from the rest, but that’s not the curse. Even if the world would treat you differently, remember that different is good, and being different will be what makes you stand out in the world.’
