Chapter 58 Alex's Descendant (Fifty Eight)

  • This morning the air was colder and more freezing than the day before. Harper tried to hold Leonhard tightly in her arms so that the baby was protected from the attack of the piercing cold this morning. It's not the right choice to take a three-month-old baby out in this cold weather. Especially in the morning which still emits quite a thick fog on the streets. But she had to do this. Last night she had thought about it. If she wanted to escape her frenzied fear, she needed to face the monster now.
  • Before her courage froze with today's snow, Harper immediately reached out her gloved hand to press the bell beside the wooden door in front of her. She was sure that Brielle must have woken up and was preparing breakfast in the kitchen. Especially last night that Alex had returned to this mansion, Brielle would be more excited to prepare everything.
  • Harper tried to exhale several times under the scarf that covered most of her face. Whether she was cold or nervous, she felt her fingers and toes cold even though she had put on layers of socks and gloves.
