Chapter 61 A Change

• Mr King had a lot of things hidden in different safes in his room. A lot of secrets he is hiding which has prompted him to have CCTV cameras around his personal room. He had wanted it all over the house but Mrs King never allowed it. She felt it was not necessary so she never agreed to it and again, it would look like she is being watched always by her cunning husband.
• Standing in the middle of the room, Kristen cringed. Mr King's room looked like some sort of shrine, something you can see in west Africa. She wondered if her mother ever made it to this room.
• It was not just the safe she needed to get access to, but the room as well. Earlier when she had decided to get the tape from her stepfather, she had watched him from a corner enter his room's secret code. The code was strange as the man himself but Kristen never bothered about it. The only business she has now is to match the spare key she has in her to any of the safe, if one is opened the rest is opened but she believed she would not have to search for long before she will find the safe with the tape. Her stepfather is a careful-careless man. Having the CCTV camera, he never for once doubts that anything will go wrong in his room if the spare key is hidden so well. But how can one safe be connected to many in a way that one safe opens all, all the work that has to be done is to match the key to the right safe and the work is as good as done? It never really occurred to him that if he can hide different things in different safes, he was supposed to have different keys for them. That shows how lowly he thinks, he is really not as smart as he thinks. And it will never occur to him that he is not the only one who knows where the spare key is hidden.
