Chapter 38 A Gentle Touch

• After the doctor finished examining Arsana and confirmed that her condition was stable, Arsana lay back down on her bed. As the doctor exited the room, silence surrounded them. Suddenly, Arsana felt a soft touch on her stomach. She looked at Zayver, who was sitting beside her, his hand attentively touching her stomach.
• "Zayver, what are you doing?" asked Arsana with a trembling voice. Their eyes met confusion and fear in Arsana's eyes, while a mixture of emotions that were difficult to interpret showed in Zayver's eyes.
• "Why didn't you tell me about your pregnancy?" asked Zayver in a firm yet disappointed tone. "Why did you hide it from me?"
