Chapter 12

• Natalie and I were approaching her car, where it was parked, when the loud sound of tires screeching against the tarred floor startled us, as it drove at full speed toward us. Natalie jumped off the driveway like a scared cat, but I did not attempt to run for my life. Even though it was near, I crossed the driveway with elegance, waiting for whoever the stupid driver was, to hit me with his car and face my father's wrath.
• If he was too blind and dumb to see this was a school premises and he has to drive carefully.
• "Heaven! Get out of the way!" Natalie scolded me, watching with horror filled gaze as the car approached me, but I wasn't scared.
