Chapter 30
- I squinted my eyes at the harsh lighting. Blinking my eyes open I looked around. My vision felt blurry as I tried to narrow my eyes. I clutched my head as if felt heavy when I tried to sit up.
- "You're awake?" Lukas voice rang in my ears. I snapped my attention towards him, eyes widening when I noticed that he was sitting on the floor near the nightstand. How is that possible?
- It felt weird to see him like that, a blank look on his face and yet so calm. The bags under his eyes along with the five o'clock shadow on his face made me narrow my eyes. His usual coat was wrinkled by the side, the top three buttons open, giving the view of his bare chest. My lips pressed together. Did something happen which kept him up all night? There has to be a reason why he was sitting on the floor like that.
