Chapter 8 Murderer
- Hearing that, Ling Yan flopped down to the floor, looking as pale as a sheet of paper.
- “Qiao Yunmo, you are so cruel...”
- Compared with Wen Runan, her child was just a “mistake”.
- “Miss Ling!” Jing Haozhi wanted to help, only to be pushed away.
- Ling Yan leaned against the bed and shook her head, gasping for breath.
- She didn't want to get more innocent people into trouble.
- “Aren't you a keeper?” There was a touch of sarcasm in Qiao Yunmo's voice, which lingered in Ling Yan's head and kept torturing her.
- Jing Haozhi grabbed Qiao Yunmo's arm, intending to drag him out of the room. “Let's have a talk outside.”
- All of a sudden, a fist dashed towards Jing Haozhi and hit his nose.
- Then, his nose started bleeding with warm blood. Jing Haozhi wiped off the blood with a thumb. “You've crossed the line.”
- Qiao Yunmo was fixing his cuffs. “You must have known her so well, otherwise you wouldn't have gone to this extent to defend her.”
- “You can't just throw unfounded accusation at people!” Jing Haozhi couldn't stand his offensive remarks, “there's nothing improper between us!”
- The atmosphere in the ward was tense and suffocating.
- “Yunmo. Yunmo...” Unexpectedly, Wen Runan showed up at the door.
- Qiao Yunmo strode towards her immediately. “The doctor said you need to rest.”
- Wen Runan naturally held his arms. “Ling Yan saved my life. I have to thank her in person.”
- Their intimacy was akin to rubbing salt on an open wound for Ling Yan.
- “Wen Runan!” Ling Yan called her name word by word. “You murderer!”
- Ling Yan hated how Wen Runan pretended to be innocent all the time.
- “Shut up!” shouted Qiao Yunmo.
- Wen Runan seemed to be startled. “Ling Yan, you have every reason to blame me. But how can you charge me with murder?”
- Qiao Yunmo patted her on the back gently and shot a threatening look at Ling Yan.
- “You owe her that kidney for your father's crime! As for the baby, it had nothing to do with her. I didn't want it. look what you've said to her! She had been worrying about you since she woke up, and this is how you treat her?!”
- “At the end of the day, you are rotten to the core, just like your father.”
- Ling Yan wanted to cry, but weirdly she laughed.
- She laughed so hard that tears gradually came out.
- Her own husband was protecting another woman at her expense.
- “Yunmo.” Wen Runan finally stopped weeping. “Ling Yan must be too sad to think straight.”
- Nobody other than Ling Yan noticed a flicker of complacency flash across Wen Runan's eyes.
- Indeed, she had every reason to celebrate.
- Wen Runan had taken Ling Yan's kidney, and that lucky baby didn't survive this time, which was a bonus for her.
- Ling Yan felt like thousands of ants were biting at her heart.
- ‘I must be living in a ridiculous soap opera,' thought Ling Yan.
- Regardless of Ling Yan's resistance, Jing Haozhi helped her stand up.
- “Since both Miss Ling and Miss Wen need to rest, why not send Miss Wen back to her own room?” Jing Haozhi, who was always mild and kind, was colder than ever.
- “A gentle reminder, she's my wife. So you are the outsider here!” Qiao Yunmo sounded very dangerous.
- Pang!
- The door swung closed. By the time everyone realized what was happening, Ling Yan had already disappeared.
