Chapter 22 Twenty Two

• Claire’s smirk faltered for a moment when Shane blankly admitted to being serious this time around. She masked up her hurt, standing up from the couch and walking toward Shane. “Yes, and apparently when you didn't show up for my wedding despite handing you an invitation card, I called it off.”
• “You made a mistake calling it off just for the sex I was giving you.” Shane wanted to complete his words but Claire beat him to his words.
• “Yes it was a mistake. All I could think of on that podium was you in between my legs, I couldn't think about anything. It reminded me how stupid I was to leave you. My flash marriage was nothing compared to what we had.”
