Chapter 11 Elecen

• “No, I don't…” Kathy responded, taking her leave out of the boardroom in defeat. I breathed in, nervously looking at Shane while he penned down his signature. The meeting wrapped up pretty quick in thirty minutes and I was all alone in the boardroom.
• I sat down, inhaling deeply and packing up my document. Could I have said meeting Shane twice in a week was a coincidence? Something flashed through my mind and I hurried out of the room, figuring out that Shane might have not gone too far and quickened up my pace to match his.
• “Mr. Shepherd,” I called out softly, stepping in front of him, obstructing his path. He didn't say anything, only gazing down on me with a stoic face. “I am grateful for this opportunity you have given me. It is not easy to win against Kathy, a well known digital guru and I, I am not even anywhere her, and…” I didn't know when I started blabbing.
