Chapter 41 Erin

• Jon had pretended to go toward the kitchen but snuck out a side door. He was angry. He'd been so close to Natalia, and his rage had almost gotten the better of him when he saw her sitting in Hayden's arms. She had never been like that with him. He never understood when people said you could feel how much two people love each other, but he now understood after being in their presence for a few minutes. He may be unable to feel anything himself, but their love for one another was so strong it almost choked him.
• He walked across the street and sat at an outdoor table at a small restaurant. Even if Jon had been unable to touch them, their food had already been poisoned. Nothing too intense, just enough to make them sick. He wanted to get them out of the hotel where they would be more vulnerable. As he waited, he began getting nervous. Did he use too much? Were they lying up there dead?
• After about thirty minutes, he was getting worried that he had accidentally overdosed him. Not that he would be upset they were dead, but that meant he didn't get to play with them first. Just as he was about ready to return to the hotel, he saw one of the security men walking toward him, carrying a bag of takeout food.
