Chapter 4

• CAMILLE'S POV:
• Three years have passed since I came to the Alpha's home as a hostage and maid. I'm not allowed to go anywhere and it's so annoying. I haven't seen my aunt anywhere, when I try to ask, it’s like I'm digging a hole to be put into. I just miss her so much and my parents. I don't understand why they are making my life so miserable.
• Things got worse over these past years. Alpha Aiden as I call him became so unbearable and is like torturing my life and making it harder than I thought. I dunno why he detests me so much, I haven't done anything wrong to him.
• Whereas Ivy and her mum have been there as much as they can for me, most times they see how hard he makes things for me and how he treats me but they can't do anything about it.
• Today was my birthday and I was super excited to be able to see my wolf. Well, it hasn't turned yet so I guess it's time. I could feel it. We did all our work today, mine was double-fold because of Alpha Aiden. I was so tired and stressed but of course, it isn't his business even if I will collapse.
• Sometimes I just wish I could hate him as much as he hates me ugh.
• "Groans"
• "What's that I hear?" I turned around so fast I thought my neck would fall off at the sound of Alpha Aiden's voice.
• "Nothing Alpha, I'm sorry that wasn't intentional" .
• "Better do your work quickly and stop whining, you should be grateful we gave you a roof over your stinking self," he said as I winced at his words. I just felt so hurt about how he talked to me and saw me.
• I just nodded my head softly and was about to turn when he stopped me with "Words".
• "Yes Alpha, thank you for giving my stinking self a roof to stay " I lowered my head giving him the answer he wanted a single tear dropped from my face and then he left, just left. No sympathy for the way he treats or talks to me
• I cleaned my eyes quickly and got back to work. The only people who had wished me a happy birthday were Ivy, her mum, and other nice people too. I was thinking maybe since it was my birthday I would get to go out a bit, I haven't been free and I miss it. I see a few people come by but not much, it's like I'm a prisoner here no doubt.
• I decided to talk with Aiden's Father about it, maybe he would let me. I walked down to his office door and the guard asked what I was there for and I explained, he went inside and after some time standing for so long my legs hurt, he came back and told me I could go in.
• "Good day Alpha" I bowed my head greeting him and I noticed that Luna and Aiden were there too so I greeted them also.
• "What do you want?" Luna asked with a harsh tone.
• "Umm, to-today i-i-i-s-s my umm---" someone had slammed his hands on the table in anger and I looked up to see it was the Alpha, Aiden just kept shut and watched me. A part of me wished he would help but why would he help someone like me?
• So I rushed and told them what I was here to tell them.
• "So Because it's your birthday you think we should throw a party for you, treat you like a princess, allow you to roam about like a useless spoiled girl that you are?" The Alpha asked, making tears drop from my eyes. I wasn't expecting such an insult from just a polite question of stepping out a bit.
• "Get out of my office, what a waste of my time and you are to continue with your work. I don't care if your mother gave birth to you today or not" The mention of my mother was enough for me to want to say something I'll regret but I bowed to them and left, not without slamming the door so hard it could break. The guard didn't even say anything as I walked back to my room.
• I was going to sneak out tonight to where the river is definitely. I'm very good at being fast and hunting due to what my parents had taught me though my combat still needs some training so I sneak to the training area as much as I can without getting caught and watch as the wolves train both in wolf and human form, I just wish I could also be part of it.
• I'm a very first learner so I watch them and one day I'll get to practice it and be very good too.
• There was a day I almost got caught watching them, I lost track of time but thank God Ivy immediately covered for me though I served a punishment for being late but was glad I did what I did.
• "I miss you Mum and Dad" I touched the necklace given to me by them "I wish you guys were here with me".
• Soon the Night came and when I saw that everyone had gone in and it was very dark I decided to sneak out, this would be my first time sneaking out to the River but I can't help it. There are guards but I managed to go through them and when I did I ran and ran to the riverside.
• it was beautiful, I haven't seen this place in years. My parents took me here the last time we had a picnic together, it was so fun. And right now there's also a full moon, beautiful.
• I laid down on a clean ground and closed my eyes, enjoying the sweet smell I got from the place but that soon ended when I felt pain in my body.
• "Arghhhh" I groaned and stood up to move but got back on my knees as I felt my hands twist in a very unlike manner. I felt bones breaking as I screamed in pain and tears fell from my eyes. The pain was just too much then soon everything stopped, no sound was heard, and then--.
