It was a cold evening when Morgana left her mate's place, her heart broken and her mind racing with thoughts of rejection and abandonment. She had been seeing Marcellus and thought maybe she could get him to forgive her and she thought everything was going to be well between them. However, all the things Marcellus said played back in her head. Morgana was devastated. She had never felt so alone and lost in her life, she didn't even know what to do, she never wanted to leave and thought maybe Marcellus will come after her when she left the club but he never came and it weakened her.
She couldn't bear the thought of going back to her home in New Orleans where everything would remind her of her time with Marcellus, when they first met and all. She needed to get away, to clear her mind and try to forget about him, which she knew was a lie, but she would just try to get some break. So, without a second thought, she packed a bag and left his home, never looking back, even though his mum had tried to reason with her, she just couldn't stay for now.
Morgana had no idea where she was going, but she knew that she needed to get as far away from Marcellus and New Orleans as possible. She got on a bus and headed north, watching the scenery pass by her as she lost herself in her thoughts, enjoying the ride.
