• Lorenzo had every intention of telling Eleanor his plans about meeting with Cruz. However if he had told her, she would no doubt insist upon attending the meeting with him. And that would not have been ideal.
• What Lorenzo needed was for Cruz to speak frankly and directly with him. He needed to know what man wanted out of this little deal he once proposed to them. But, most of all, he simply didn’t want Cruz around Eleanor at all.
