- I saw the heated anger flare behind Lorenzo’s eyes. Oh, shit.
- My blood ran cold at the realization that he was very likely picking up Cruz’s distinguishable scent which must have clung to me after he and I parted ways at the cafe. It was overly musky and a bit too much on the senses.
